Contest Rules

These rules govern the monthly gift card draw only. The score-based discounts described in section 9 are earned rewards, not a contest — every player who reaches a score threshold receives that reward.

1. Sponsor

This contest is sponsored by UNA Pizza + Wine ("UNA").

2. Contest Period

The contest runs in monthly periods. Each period begins at 12:00:00 a.m. MT on the first day of a calendar month and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. MT on the last day of that same month. One draw is held per monthly period.

3. Eligibility

• Open to residents of Alberta, Canada who have reached the age of majority (18) as of the date of entry.
• Employees of UNA, its franchisees, agencies and suppliers, and members of their immediate families or households, are not eligible.
• Limit one prize per person for the lifetime of the contest. A player who has already won a monthly draw remains eligible to appear on the leaderboard but will not be drawn again.
• Entries are limited to one person per email address. Entries that are automated, scripted, or generated by any means other than genuinely playing the game are void.

4. How to Enter

To enter:

• Play Slice Invaders and finish a game.
• Submit your score using the form on the game-over screen, providing your first name, last name, email address and date of birth.
• Tick the box consenting to be contacted, which is what enters you in the draw. Players who do not tick the box still keep their score and any earned discounts, but are not entered in the draw.

Your best score in a monthly period is the score used for that period. Playing more games does not add entries — it can only improve your ranking.

5. Draw Pool and Odds

At the close of each monthly period, the top 20 scores of that period form the draw pool. Only one entry per player appears in the pool, based on that player's best score.

One winner is selected at random from the pool. If the pool holds a full 20 eligible entries, the odds of any one entrant being selected are 1 in 20. If fewer than 20 eligible entries are received in a period, the odds improve accordingly, and the draw is made from the entries actually received.

6. Prize

One (1) UNA gift card with an approximate retail value of $50.00 CAD is awarded per monthly period.

The prize is not transferable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash. UNA reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize is unavailable.

7. Skill-Testing Question

Before being declared a winner and receiving the prize, the selected entrant must correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question administered by UNA.

An entrant who declines the question, answers incorrectly, or does not respond within the time allowed forfeits the prize, and another entrant may be drawn from the remaining pool.

8. Winner Selection and Notification

The draw takes place within five (5) business days of the close of each monthly period. The selected entrant is notified by email at the address submitted with their score.

The selected entrant must respond, answer the skill-testing question, and claim the prize within fourteen (14) days of the date of first notification. If they cannot be reached, do not respond in time, or are found ineligible, the prize is forfeited and another entrant may be drawn.

By accepting a prize, the winner consents to the use of their first name and city for the purpose of announcing the winner, without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.

9. Score-Based Discounts

Separately from the draw, players who consent to be contacted receive a discount code by email when they first reach each of these scores:

• 5,000 points — 5% off
• 10,000 points — 10% off
• 15,000 points — $15 off a $60 purchase

These are earned rewards, not prizes in a game of chance: every player who reaches a threshold receives that reward. Each code is issued once per person, the first time that score is reached. Codes are redeemable online only and cannot be combined with other offers.

10. Privacy

The information you submit — name, email address, date of birth, score and wave reached — is collected by UNA to operate the contest, to issue earned discount codes, and, where you have consented, to send marketing email.

Consent is required before any marketing email is sent, and you may withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message. Withdrawing consent does not remove a score already posted to the leaderboard.

Only a player's initials and score appear on the public leaderboard. Email addresses are never displayed publicly.

11. General Conditions

• UNA reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the game, submits scores by automated means, or otherwise attempts to interfere with the fair operation of the contest.
• Scores that the game engine cannot produce are automatically rejected.
• UNA reserves the right to amend these rules or to suspend, modify or terminate the contest, subject to applicable law.
• By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and by the decisions of the sponsor, which are final.
